How do I do the volume sign (ex: 36 cm3)

Select the 3 and press Ctrl+Shift+= (or the long way, go to Format >
Font and click the Superscript option).

To insert ³, hold down the Alt key and enter 0179 on the numeric keypad.
0178 will give ² and 0176 will give °

You can also select the 3 and press Ctrl+Shift+=, or Format - Font -
Superscript. These aren't the same as the dedicated characters, but as a
method... might be easier to remember in the long run.
