How do I edit a line from an inserted CAD file?

I have inserted a CAD file. Some of the lines are light blue and do not print
well. I want to change them to black but selecting the line and then
selecting the line color from the menu does not change the color. Is there
some protection somewhere on CAD files that I can turn off?
