How do I edit an Outlook template that I have created?

I have created several templates in Outlook that are working beautifully.
However, I need to make some changes to one and cannot find a way to edit it.
Word will not open it correctly because it has an .OFT extension. I have
read all of the help for modifying document templates - but nothing works for
the Outlook templates.

Is the answer just to create a new template and save it with the same name?
thus overwriting the older version.

You can turn off WordMail as your editor in Tools | Options | Mail Format.
