how do I eleminate extra dashs in word page?

Hi
I have problem with maicrosoft word in the page there is constant dash which
I could not get red of it is like (-) and the page is not standred for
writing, can you advice me please?

Do you see the dashes in Print Preview? If not, perhaps they are nonprinting
characters. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm. They
could be conditional hyphens inserted by using automatic hyphenation.
