How do I eliminate an over-print error in a document?

I am having an "over-print" problem when I print one particular document.
The problem only occurs when I print the document = it does not show up in
the print preview. Words from another part of the document show up in
another section printed over what is already there. The words also remain in
their proper place in the document and print properly in that part of the
document. I tried printing on two different printers to confirm that the
error is in the application. I tried completely deleting the section where
the over-printing was occuring and then re-entering the text. The same error
occured. I am using Word 2002 and XP.

What happens if you launder the document... by saving it in .rtf format,
closing it, then re-opening it? Does the laundered document still have that
problem?

What if you open the .rtf document in WordPad? Does the problem happen there
when you print, as well?
