How do I eliminate duplicate messages in Outlook 2002?

[Always Something]

I have created subfolders under my personal folder. Created rules to place
messages with subject or content into these subfolders.

Now I have copies of new messages in my Inbox as well as the subfolders.

Haven't found a way to elminate the duplicates. The copy in the Inbox should
not be there.
What to do?
