How do I eliminate screen flicker when movie plays automatically .

I'm using PowerPoint 2003. I get a screen flicker when PowerPoint starts to
play a WMV file I've inserted into a slide. How can I eliminate this?

Depending what "screen flicker" means ...

Have you got zoom to full screen on?
Can you turn back hardware accelleration?
