how do i eliminate the pdf button permanently

every time i turn off the pdf button on my toolbar, several emails later it
will reappear. How do i permanently keep it off of my toolbar? The same
problem is found in word as well

Other postings in this newsgroup indicate that as long as there are third
party toolbars configured, that you have no control over any toolbar's
placement.
