How do I email as the body a web page without showing html?

MJ

I have created an email newsletter in publisher. I created it as a blank web
page so I can send the entire document as the body of an email to all of our
customers. I created hyperlinks using "Html code fragement" in the table of
contents/in this issue section.
When I test email it, the html code is displayed instead of the actual
hyperlink. How can I email this document (not as an attachment) with the
hyperlinks active and the code hidden??

You will have to use a regular text box and regular hyperlinks. Unlike when
you create a web page, the code inserted via a HTML code fragment, does not
work in an email.

Thank you for your response.
When you say regular text box and regular hyperlinks, what specifically do
you mean? Hoe would I create a "inside this issue" with article titles as
hyperlinks to article? Is there a way to do that and be still be able to
email the newsletter as the body?

It sounds like you were trying to use "bookmarks" or "anchors"to take the
viewer directly to the article. Unfortunately there is no built-in way to do
that with Pub 2003. By building your table of contents in a regular text
box, you can only add hyperlinks to a specific page, not a location on a
page.

But all this is irrelevant in that you cannot send a multipage email in the
body of the message. If you want to send the newsletter in the body of a
message, then you will need to convert to one page. If you want to send a
multipage newsletter, then you would be best served sending it as a PDF, and
attaching it, which in some cases will allow hyperlinks. Or best yet, post
most of the content on your website, and have your links take them there
when they want to read more...

Thanks again David!
You are correct...i was using anchors. It works with web page preview, but
when I email it shows the html. By creating the document as a blank webpage
I was able to have all "pages showing" in the body of the email. Only
because it is one long webpage. As far as hyperlinks, it sounds like I will
need to add them to a specific page.

Good, you found the solution for a "multipage" email...one long page.
However, anchors will not work in the email body even with standard
links...not with Pub 2003. However, you might download and install the beta
of Pub 2007...it does support anchors, from what I know. But don't forget it
is a beta, and is likely to have some bugs... Good luck.
