how do I embed an object in the body of an email in "Outlook 2007"

Before Microsoft office 2003, I could edit html directly and make my email
look like a custom webpage. All I want to do now is have my outlook email
display a youtube embeded object. There has to be a way. where have I
missed the boat?
Thanks for the help and Happy New Year!

In the Outlook 03 main page, Top-right "Help" block I typed "embed picture in
email/Enter and among others you'll see "Add a Picture to a Message" AND
"Link or Embed Files" AND "Add a Background Image". Those instructions work.
When I first clk'd Insert/Picture from an Untitled Email the various Choices
were Gray (from a File is a choice) but I think you have to pause a little
for the choices to load as after I tried again the choices were hilighted.)

I should have said that I have office 2007. that means I'm currently using
outlook 2007 which is why I'm having the problem.

the example would be like if I wanted a movie clip from youtube.com to
display in the body of an email and the code would look like <object
width="425" height="373"><param name="movie"
value="
"></param><param
name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed
src="
"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425"
height="373"></embed></object> , but there is no way to install this code in
outlook 2007 as it just shows up as text.
thank-you,
Walt

I don't believe that's possible in Outlook 2007. Since Outlook 2007 uses
Word as its rendering engine, the ability to perform this type of function
is limited.

Thats too bad. Seems like a step backward in functionality. There has to be
a way!!!!!! if not, then Microsoft should pay attention to what they are
taking from us.
Microsoft office professional is not CHEAP! I should be able to walk on
the moon for that price.

Many people think so.
There has to be a way!!!!!!

Um, no there doesn't.
if not, then Microsoft should pay attention to what they are taking from
us.

If you purchased the product, you have the right to open a support incident
(support is free for the first 90 days) and tell Microsoft that it's a
mistake. They may even be able to tell you definitively whether or not it
can be done. However, since Outlook is targeted at the corporate user and I
daresay that many corporations would rather not have their employees
watching YouTube videos in mail, I think you stand a poor chance of getting
it changed.
