We have just rolled out Microsoft Project 2003 and Microsoft Project Server
Web Access (PSWA).
The PMs have been using Project to administer two test projects. We have
found that if you use Project to enter a resources time (as the PM), and then
publish the project and have the resources (people) enter their time on tasks
using PSWA, the actuals entered by the people overwrite the actuals entered
by the PM.
However, if the PM enters their time through PSWA, and updates the project
using PSWA, the changes he makes stick.
We discovered in the forums here that in Project, you can select
Collaborate menu
Publish choice
In the Publish dialogue box, it was suggested that we use the
"Overwrite actual work entered by resources" option
However, for us, this option is disabled.
How can we enable this option? Is there some setting or permission
required? I'm an admin in PSWA, and all perimssions are turned on for admins
in PSWA. Is there some setting in Project 2003 I need to set?
