How do I ensure my BCM information get transferred

I have to reformat my hard drive and when I reinstall Outlook with BCM I want
to make sure my information/database can be retrieved. I utilize the backup
system in BCM and have a file that is a Microsoft Small Business Backup,
however this doesn't seem to be all that I need. I need some reinsurance
that I have the right file that will populate all the fields, just like it is
currently. Thank you.

You don't have to reformat your hard drive.

Buy a new hard drive and keep your current one as backup.

Are you asking what is the absolute best way to ensure that nothing
happens to your data? I recommend taking an image backup of your drive.

scenario, you can always return to your current point of operations.

new drives.

Here are your alternate options to be on the safe side :

Use the import / export wizard in Business contact manager to backup the
database as an *.bcm file

Also you can backup a copy of the *.ldf and *.mdf files from the default
location (C:\Doc & Settings\User profile\Local settings\Application
data\Microsoft)

Note : You'll need to go to services.msc and stop the SQL services(MSSMLBIZ)
when making a copy of these files and restart it when your done.
