How do I enter data into my form in a set order.

I have been using my own designed form for a while (based on contacts form)
but I cannot seem to amend the order that the data gets entered.

I have changed the name of my Controls in Properties dialog to the
appropriate name, for example, ClassificationLabel and Classification and
EmployeesLabel and Employees but I cannot determine that the data gets
entered in the order I wish, eg Employees first and then Classification
second.

Can anyone help?

I suspect that you haven't really described the problem that is troubling
you. What is wrong with just clicking into the appropriate control and
entering the relevant data? And, are your controls on a back tab of the
form--like p-2 or p-3?

Ok ta. What I mean is I am using the Contacts form and have added additional
fields or Controls where new additional information can be collected, like
Classification and Employees. At the moment I do have to click on each empty
box to enter my data but would prefer to press the tab key so that the cursor
jumps to the next box for entry. For example, using the following box
(Controls) by using my tab key the cursor moves through the boxes in the
order of 1 then 2, then 4, then 3 when naturally I want it to go 1,2,3,4.
1. Full Name
2. Address
3. Classification
4. Employees

I realise I can re-design the form and move the Controls to the correct
order but that is messy and time consuming. I wondered if I could simply
change the order that the tab key jumps through them rather than having to
use the mouse everytime, which is slowing down my data entry.

Lastly, everything is on the same Contacts form page.

In form design mode, you can use the Layout | Tab Order command to adjust the tab order.

It is not a safe practice to make modifications to the General tab of a
Contacts folder. You are likely to find the automatic the formatting
of telephone numbers and email addresses to not work. Be sure that all
the features you really care about are working after you get your
customizations to work.

Sue - Thanks alot that works a treat!

Paul - I haven't amended the Contacts form I simply used it to create my own
form leaving the original untouched. I realise however the point you make may
still apply so thanks for the warning, I will look out for it.
