How do I export an Access report to Word, showing the gridlines?

In the report print view, the gridlines of one's report show. But when you
export the report to MS Word, the gridlines disappear. How can you export the
report so that the gridlines appear in Word as they do in Access? This is a
critical functionality for my purposes.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi Jeanette
Thanks for this. But since I started with teaching myself Access two days
ago, I'm unsure of how to get this Report Utility to help me. I visited the
website, downloaded the zip folder and tried to follow the ReadMe
instructions. But nothing happens. Because I have such limited knowledge of
Access, I don't know where to start to figure out why nothing happens (or
even what I should be expecting to happen!). I think I imagined it would be
some sort of magical 'patch', which would allow the textbox lines in my
existing Access report to be exported into Word. In sum, I don't know how to
make the Report Utility to work for me. Can you point me in the right
direction? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Paul that solution does not produce a fully editable Word document. There
simply is not a viable native Access solution to your issue of converting
reports to Word documents.

You may want to investigate third party applications that can convert PDF to
Word. If you can find a suitable converter app then simply print your report
to PDF.

Hi Stephen and Jeanette
Thanks for your help. Through trial and error I worked out how to use the
Utilities database you gave me. Thankfully, the exported Word doc is
sufficiently editable for my puroposes.
Cheers
