how do I export Visio to Word?

I am a new Visio user and have been documenting business processes using
cross-functional flowcharts. Now I need to include them in a Word document,
or at the very least store them in a format that non-Visio users can view.
THe help function seems to be totally useless on this topic so I could use
some help! THanks.

THanks, Al. THat was helpful. I also discovered that I dcould do a select
all in Vision and then save it as a gif file that I could then insert into
word using insert picture from file...

It is absolutely ridiculous that MS has not provided a "Save As" .doc for
this program. For this program to NOT work within WORD is unfathomable to us
non geeks. We should only have to hit a drop down menu saying Save As
WORD.doc and good to go.

Having to kludge some type of gif or pdf et al is a non starter. For all
these suites of programs to work together they need to be able to be provided
to others that DO NOT have the program.

Perhaps MS venture into Open Doc and XML will help with this. But they
better be moving towards Open Document and soon. Many states such as Mass
now require ALL state documents to be in an open document format. Other
entire countries are also moving that way.

You should be able to cut and paste the visio diagram into word. Then when
you double click the visio it lets you edit the diagram. If pasting causes
your word file to crash, first copy all of the existing word file into a new
word file and save it. Then cut and paste the viso file. There's a bug that
messes up word files, but coping it into a new file is a fix.
