How do I fade music tracks in power Point Presentation?

I'm trying to add music tracks to my power point presentation. I know how to
add them, but I'd like to fade one track and fade into another track, instead
of just cutting them off at full volume. Also, I'm not able to use tracks
from a CD. I've followed all the directions, but when the slide with a CD
track comes up, the music doesn't work. Then when I put an audio track from
my computer on that slide, it works fine. I appreciate any help you can give
me.

Heathery09,
Unfortunately there is no way that you can fade music in PPT, sorry. You
will have to use a sound editor to do it. here is one:

On your second problem, do not see what could be the problem, have you tried
inserting the cd in another drive?
