I can't believe that the navigation on this site is soooo bad that I have to ask this but how do I get to the old office 2004 forums that I used to get to from the old mactopia?

Thank you

The old Mactopia never hosted its own forums. Instead, it pointed folks
to Google Groups <http://groups.google.com>.

Incidentally, none of the Microsoft forums for Office Mac are specific
to a version. They are instead specific to the application. Therefore,
you're currently posting in the Office forum for Office related
questions for all versions of Office.

Hope this helps!

I know that the forums weren't actually on Mactopia but it was really easy to get to them from there. I went to Google groups and did a search and couldn't find them.

I find the new MS forums really frustrating. Unlike the Google groups, there doesn't seem to be a way to just browse through ALL of the questions. You can only see the ones MS wants to show you (ie, top ten or ten most recent).

The Google interface is still there.

I do too. I never use them and when I do try to find something, I get so
frustrated I give up.

By the way, they are still the same forums. Both Google and Mactopia
are portals to newsservers that are synced.

Have you looked recently? They changed that, and you can now browse
Newest Questions in sets of ten, backward for quite a while.

Search has also improved since it was launched in January.

Sorry, Diane, I had missed that you already posted this when I reposted it.

Here is the chilling thing at the end of the day for Microsoft: This is now a moot point for me because I have switched products. I no longer use Entourage or Powerpoint because MS always creates products and support in ways that work for it, not the customer. So I switched to companies that are dedicated to making great apps for their customers, as opposed to what they arrogantly think their customers should have. So if anyone wants a great collaborative calendar/mail/contacts (and more) application. Check out Google Enterprise. I switched my company over in one day and now we have one less Microsoft product and its related poor support program to aggravate us.
