How do I find a contact using a phone number?

When reviewing my cell phone bill, I find phone numbers listed that I don't
recognize. The first place I want to check for a name to go with the phone
number is my address book in Microsoft Outlook. However, when I enter the
phone number in the box next to "Look for" with "Contacts" in the box next to
"Search in", I get no results whatsoever. When I use a name, address, e-mail
address, or any word in job title, company, contact, category, or the text
box, I can get results. The phone number is the only criteria that I cannot
search with. How can I change this to make it possible to find a contact
using only a phone number?

I am using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 of Microsoft Office Professional
Edition 2003.

It works fine for me. Sort of.
Works perfectly with advanced find - Look for contacts - phone number fields
only - enter any part of the phone number in the look for word(s) field (to
find for example all contacts from a particular area code)
The standard search will only search text & memo fields

Thank you so much! I just read your post because I didn't get the
notification that I requested to replies to my question. I'm so glad that I
decided to check anyway. I did what you said (although I had to figure out
that "advanced find" was under "options") and, at first, could not get a
response on the phone number I entered because I used all hyphens. Once I
entered it exactly as it would appear in Outlook Contacts, with the area code
in parenthesis followed by a space then the number with a hyphen only before
the last four digits, I got the response that I was looking for. My husband
knows a lot about computers, but he couldn't answer this question for me.
Thank you once again for taking the time to respond!

Zork,
I want to thank you for your reply. There is a lot of discussion here about
looking up phone numbers. You are the only person that has explained that
"The standard search will only search text & memo fields". Now I know why
Outlook does what it does; and I now know how to look up a phone number.

Note to Microsoft...advanced find does work to look up a phone number, BUT
please make this easier by adding this ability to the standard "find" search
function.
