Ashyn

My hard drive went on my laptop, i replaced with a new one, and uploaded my
office 2007 with the disc, now i cannot find it to put the product key in.
The thing is, i still have my old hard drive, and it is accessible
so when i open excel or word, i can find a key, but it does not work to
register my key code,,,,,,it seems to be a product code
where can i find my key code on my old hard drive?
btw, even though dell can confirm my purchase of the office suite, they
cannot help with keys

In addition to Joann's reply, here's a
TechTrax article that explains Belarc in more detail, to help you
understand how to do what you need to do.

Nice article Dian! I'll make sure I reference it when I suggest someone use
Belarc.

And if they are smart, they'll spend a little time looking at some of the
other terrific articles on your site. ;-)

To run Belarc Advisor on the hard drive you would need to boot from that
drive and not the new one in the computer. It has to search through the
registry to find the code and retrieve it and since it is on the "bad" drive
the registry on that drive isn't available to Belarc unless it is booted to
that drive.

You have an installation disk. Where is the case that the disk came in.
That is where your installation key is located. If this was a converted
trial you have received the key in the email you received when you converted
the trial. You need to find that email or disk case.
