How do I find my serial number?

Hi

I want to purchase the upgrade from Microsoft Office X to the new 2004
version BUT I cannot find my original install disks with the Serial number
on.

Is there any way I can discover what my serial number is from the installed
software?

Not with v.X. But you shouldn't need it if v.X is still installed - the
2004 installer will detect it and verify it automatically.

To replace the CD Key though, you need to contact Product Support
Services (PSS):

I didn't need the old CD key when I updated from 2001 to v.X. I just put the
2001 installer CD in the drive, and was then prompted to enter the new key
for v.X. I was was never asked to enter the 2001 key, and since no PID had
been enterd, it didn't read it from the HD...
