How do I fix communication errors when activating office 2003

I have had a problem of installing my Office 2003. I am connected to the
internet through a proxy that DOES NOT require authentication. I always get
the 'communication error' whenever I try to activate my product. My computer
is Windows Xp Professional SP2. Internet connection speed is 128kbs. Thanks

Hi Dezide,

If you've also checked that your firewall is allowing the activation Wizard/Office to connect you may want to use the telephone
activation method rather than the online one when using a proxy server.
