How do I fix email sending problem in outlook 2007?

I have windows XP and have installed outlook 2007 and when I try to send
email from various accounts, earthlink and other web based email servers the
same problem keeps coming up. It bounces back that the recipient is not a
valid address but I can sometimes forward the same message with attachments
and without. Whats up with that?
