How do I fix this problem: Y-axis title gets truncated in Excel

If I change the text, font size or bold property in the vertical axis title
text box in a MS Excel XP SP3 chart, usually it gets truncated, showing eg.
"Speed (km/h" instead of "Speed (km/h)". I can fix this by making the title
"Speed (km/h)." so that only the point at the end gets lost, but this is not
a good solution since it shows up again if I export the graph to an EPS for
example. I have noticed a lot of reports with truncated Y-axis graph titles,
so it must be a standard Excel XP bug.

A workaround to this is to make your Y-axis label read "Speed (km/h) ."
Format the period to be the same color as the background.
