how do i flip text to use as a transparency?

the directions in office assistant appear to be more for objects and I am
trying to flip text to use in an iron on transparency. When I use the draw
tool bar, the flip and rotate option is grayed out and I cannot use
it.......?????

This is not easily done in Word. For iron-ons, your best bet is to see if
your printer has a setting for "Flip horizontal," "Mirror image," "T-shirt
transfer," or the like.
