How do i freeze a logo into a letterhead template ...

.... so others cannot edit the logo, but they can still type a letter onto the

First, go to File > Page Setup > Layout and check "Different first
page".

Next, open the first-page header of the template. With the cursor in
the header, insert the logo. After setting its text wrapping to
Square, position it wherever you want it -- it doesn't have to stay in
the header area.

Finally, use the macro at
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ProtectWord2000PlusHeader.htm
to prevent users from opening the header.
