How do I get 300dpi resolution for my Publisher doc?

I've created an ad and am submitting it for publication. It needs to be
minimum 300dpi resolution...How do I see what resolution it is and how do I
set it to 300dpi?

=====================================
What's your Publisher version number? If it's
the 2003 version ...read the following.

If you save in an image format....jpg, .png, .tif, .etc...
there is a "Change" button on the 'Save As' screen
that allows you to change the DPI to 300.

In Publisher 2003, the resolution of individual images can be checked
through the Graphics Manager.

If images are lower in resolution than 300dpi, then the extra quality
cannot be added magically. You can resize the images smaller to increase
the resolution, but that may not work with your design. Pixels may be
noticeable when you print if any image has a quality lower than 300dpi.
Whether or not you can put up with that is up to you. Saving as a 300dpi
file may work around a printer's requirement for a 300dpi file, but it
will not magically add the extra quality that the rule is intended to
enforce.

When I go to Save as Picture I don't have the option to select 300dpi.
I'm using Publisher 2002...Does that make a difference?

If you are sending it as a pdf, you can usually set the printing
resolution in the program - at least in Acrobat.

Using pdf2image you can convert any document, graphics drawing or form saved
as a PDF file
to one of the defacto image formats used in on web-sites: GIF, JPEG and/or
PNG.

Resolution (for example 300) can be specified.

See http://www.pdf2image.com for more information and to download a free eval.
