How do I get a hyperlink to open a Powerpoint file in edit mode?

I am trying to create a hyperlink in Excel that opens a PowerPoint
presentation in the PowerPoint editor to allow us to change slides. What the
hyperlink is defaulting to is the PowerPoint Presentation Viewer and we want
to edit the file and not just view it. My question is, how can I tell the
link to open PowerPoint and then open the particular file in the application
and not viewer mode? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Instead of hyperlinking to the presentation, add the presentation as an
object, then use the animation settings to give it an edit action when it is
clicked. (You are going to set the animation up first, then change it to be
started by a click of the object itself.)
