How do I get a new Product Key for my computer?

i just bought a new lap top and didnt know i needed anything for microsoft
office and now i cant write papers for college. i need to know how to get my
product key, i dont have any papers that came with my computer.

Apparently, you had a trial version of Microsoft Office installed.
You'll need to purchase a license for Microsoft Office in order to
continue the use of the program.

If its a trial edition you have to purchase it.
Since you are at college you qualify for Home & Student or other academic
editions. Your college may have facilities to purchase from, otherwise
www.amazon.com.
Uninstall any trial edition prior to installing the edition you purchase.
PS Its most unusual to get no papers / manual with a new Laptop
