how do i get a resources sorted on assignment tab in project 2000

On the resource assignment tab, the drop down list which displays resources
is not in alpha sequence. I can sort the resources in the resource sheet, but
that does not change the order when they are displayed in a drop down box.

It does... when you sort with the option "Permanently renumber resources"!

Jan, Thanks for the response. If you display the "resource sheet" and then
|Project|Sort, you do not get an option to "Permanetly renumber". I cannot
find where to set the option to permanently renumber.

Hi PlanetCon,

You need to go another step: Project/Sort/Sort by... and you'll see the
check box at the bottom of the Sort dialog.
