How do i get ampersand (&) to show up in form drop-down menus?

How do i get ampersand (&) to show up in form drop-down menus? I can type it
into the menu list but it is missing when the choice is selected. Thanks.

One & tells word to treat the character that follows as a hotkey/accelerator
(e.g. S&ave would mean that you could press Alt+A to access that command).
To get & to appear and NOT be an accelerator, use &&.
