How do I get and audible alert for incoming messages

I am having difficulty with Outlook - I would like an audible alert each
time a message comes in and for that messag to be auto downloaded without
having to hit the send/received button each time.

Tools / Options / Email Options / Advanced Email Options,
under :When new items arrive in my inbox, select play a sound.
Tools / Options / Mail set up / Send/Recieve,
under setting for group select "schedule an automatic send/recieve every x
minutes".
Keep in mind if you select any time lower than the default of 5 minutes you
may develop problems. Try at a lower setting, you can always change the time.
