How do I get BCM 2007 to step generating reminders?

I've installed Office/BCM '07 on Vista and created some business contacts.
Everytime I start Office, I get a reminder for every contact and every email
linked to those contacts. I've gone into each contact and set the Mark
Complete flag, but they still keep generating. If I hit "dismiss all" they
simply regenerate immediately.
