How do I get footnotes to appear at the end of a table?

Hello,

I can create footnotes and add cross-references to them, all within my
table. However, the footnotes are always showing up at the bottom of the page
rather than immediately following my table. I'm using Word 2003 on Windows
XP, SP2. I would appreciate any tips any of you can share about how to
accomplish getting cross-referenced notes at the end of a table.

Thanks,
brh

I usually create table notes manually, separate from the document footnotes.
Since notes in tables usually use different reference marks from document
footnotes, anyway, this is easier. Whether you put them in a (merged) bottom
row of the table or below the table, they will stay with it if the preceding
row is set to "Keep with next." If you need them to be cross-referenced, you
will need to insert the bookmarks and references manually as well.
