I use Outlook for email and Internet Explorer for browseing the web. I have
recently switched from AOL and Outlook wants to use the AOL program to use
with hyperlinks in email messages. I would like for Outlook to launch
Internet Explorer instead.

.
Open Internet Explorer, choose Internet Options from the
Tools drop down menu. Click on the Programs tab. Insert in
the E-mail field Microsoft Office Outlook. OK out.

Now that I believe I answered your question, for your
computer's security, I suggest that you download, install
the Firefox 1.0 Browser. http://www.mozilla.org/ When
installing, set it to be your default browser, and to
import your IE favorites.

Thanks for the advice, but that is my current setting. While having both
Internet Explorer Ver. 6 open and Outlook 2003 open, I try to click on a
hyperlink inside an email to direct me to a new web site. The problem is,
outlook opens AOL and tries to login to get to the web site from the
hyperlink.

Happy New Year!
Try this (from IE Help) To reset Internet Explorer settings

If you installed another Web browser after installing
Internet Explorer and Internet Tools, some of your Internet
Explorer settings may have changed. You can reset your
Internet Explorer settings to their original defaults,
including your home page and search pages, and choice of
default browser, without changing your other browser's
settings.

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab.
Click the Reset Web Settings button.
