How do I get my E-mail adress "blue" on my website?

I am designing a website but I don't understand when I put an E-mail adress
or website address in, you can't click on it and go directly to an E-mail
message box or to the website (i.e. it doesn't turn "blue" automatically like
when I put my E-mail adress at the end of an E-mail). How do I do that? I
am new to this so I need very layman directions....

Vicky, you can't just type the address on the page. You need to do an
Insert, Hyperlink.
