My hard drive blew recently so I had to get a new drive. I upgraded to XP
pro version 2002 (from version Millenium). The FrontPage in that version
does not seem to be a full version (I need to access all of the themes and I
am not able to with this XP disc).

So, I tried to install my (licensed) FrontPage disc that I created my
original website with a few years ago. The old disc will not let me utilize
it fully either even though I entered the Key on the CD case. (I am assuming
that the disc thinks that I am not a licensed user). My website is:
http://paperandimages.home.att.net
Please advise how I can be granted permission to use my own licensed FP disc.
Your help is much appreciated.

When I had Millenium, I purchased FP after I got the computer, it was not
included in Me.
I now have Ms Win. XP pro vers. 2002 and it has Excel, Powerpoint, FP and Ms
Editor (name?) with other web templates. I may be doing something wrong with
the new XP disc that I am not getting the full version of FP from it or it
doesn't offer the full version (i.e., all the FP themes).
I am reading the EULA and it says "the primary user of the computer on which
the software product is installed may make a second copy for his or her
exclusive use on a portable computer". What's a portable computer? a laptop??
Is there any way I can use the FP discs that I purchased?

There is no FrontPage with Win XP Pro. You must install it from the
FrontPage disk that you have.

Win XP Pro (nor any other Windows Operating System) does not include Office.
If you purchased a computer, it may have come bundled with Office as part of
the OEM purchase.

In any case, you must install FP separately.

Also, if the FP on your new computer is newer than the FP from your disks,
it won't let you install it until your remove the newer version. Lastly the
new FP on your new computer is FP 2k3, then it will have more abilities than
on your old, if it is FP XP/2k2, it just may not be fully installed. Put
the CD in for it, and choose the Repair option for the Help menu from within
FP and from there you can install all or as many additional features as you
like.

My version of Office XP Pro has FP. The title on the CD is "Office XP
Professional, with Front Page"
