I can still use outlook express as my default email program but it doesn't
work on the internet.
When I hit the mail link on websites, 'Choose profile' box pops up. If I
click Next, my account name box shows up but when I click Next again, it
throws .dll error cause I haven't set it up.
Under Internet options > Programs , my email client had only outlook.
So, I removed Outlook component from the Office but it still doesn't work.
Under Programs, email program box is now empty.
I don't know if it has anything to do with this issue but I've been getting
worm(w32.Swen.A@mm)attached spam ever since I installed the Office 2003.
Some of them look like updates from Microsoft and most of them are returned
email using Inet, qmail that I never sent.
My Norton has caught and deleted them everytime I got them so far but I
have been getting almost 10 of these today. I fully scanned my system last
night, and I don't have any infection. Is it already in my system somewhere
and clonning itself? I checked out symantec site about this worm and it
messes up your registry.
Another strange thing that has happened is my computer turned off itself and
restarted again when the cable modem lost all signals and got back on.
Actually my cable modem has been activated my computer for a long time. I
cannot shut my machine down without disconnecting the modem. Does anybody
have any idea what my computer is doing?
Thanks.
