Before installing Office 2007 and my latest Windows updates I used to be able
to click on start menu and above Programs I could click on open office
document or new document instead of going to office and then to the program I
wanted to open. I use classic start menu. Can anyone help me get that
option back?

In Office 2007 you will find the feature under Other Shared Features. It is
not installed by default. In Vista go to Control Panel, Uninstall Program,
highlight Microsoft Office and click on Change and choose Add/Remove
Features. Look under Other Shared Features and Office documents to run on
your computer. In Windows XP, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Program and do
the same.
