How do I get Office Pro 2003 to read files created on Works?

Niteowl

hi,

I work for a middle school and some students are bringing in files they've
created at home using some version of Works (.wps), and my Office Pro 2003
Word won't open it.

I've looked on the microsoft site for a viewer of converter or somthing, but
have had no luck..

1. Is there any way to open/edit/print this file here at school?

2. Is there a way for the student to save it in a ".doc" format?

thanks,
gary

Thanks, I swear I spent a half an hour trying to find something on the MS
website...

all I found was stuff for Word 2000, rtf converters.. blah, blah, it was
frustrating... this was exactly what I needed.

thanks,
gary

If formatting isn't required, you'd be better off asking them to use
Notepad.
