In previous versions of Outlook, when I entered a new phone number, I would
just enter the ten digits and it would reformat it with parentheses around
the NPA and then space, then the NXX with a hyphen, and then the last four
digits. For example, 7145551212 would become automatically formatted as
(714) 555-1212. Additionally, if I just entered the seven digit number
because my default area code was 714 it would again format as (XXX) XXX-XXXX.
Currently, if I enter the ten digit telephone number I get ten numbers that
are underlined. How do I get the parenthetical plus hyphenated format noted
above?
