How do I get Outlook's RSS feed to "read a cookie"

Hey all,

So my RSS reader is working fine with every feed I subscribe to, except one.
This RSS feed is on a page which is behind my company's Intranet firewall.
There's content being added to the feed, but it never shows up in the RSS
folder. (Yes, I have confirmed the folder which the feed is being directed
to)

I was told that the way to get this to work is for Outlook to accept the
cookie. I wasn't aware that Outlook even dealt with cookies.

Neither was I. Cookies are usually something that is web-browser related
however. If the RSS reader for Outlook is using Internet Explorer then that
would explain the directions you received. I would check the security on
your IE and make sure that it allows cookies from the URL in question.

So I've done that. The site in question is our local intranet, which I
have logged into with IE (and the cookie is set to retain the login
credentials). I do notice that the RSS feed in IE is also blank, but is
not in Firefox.

Our administrators insist that the problem is not with the network, but with
Outlook/IE. (of course they do)

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks,
