How do I get pictures, copied from PDF documents to print in word

Hi, I am trying to print my dissertation, and for some reason only some of
the pictures in the text will print. Some pictures which I have copied from
PDF files do print and others wont (they just leave a big white gap where the
picture should be. I have ensured the the print pictures thing is ticked in
the print options.

Please help I am really stuck and its due inmonday.

What happens if you save the images in an editing program such as MS Paint and
then insert into Word.?
