How do I get rid of an embedded link in an Excel worksheet

I have cut & paste numbers from a web page & this has brought an imbedded
link onto my worksheet.
I cannot select it to delete it & it sits on top of the worksheet cell
I am using Excell 2002

Have you tried F5>Special>Objects>OK

Then delete what Excel selects?

May not work with embedded links but???
