How do I get rid of the following .doc after every file I save? .

I am getting a temporary file after saving a new letter, etc. and I am also
getting the .doc after each file I save. (Example... Brown, L.doc)
How do I get rid of both of these confusing items?

This is a Microsoft Access newsgroup. Since you say "document" I would
assume you are using Microsoft Word, not Access. Try posting to a Word
group.
