How do I get the language bar when I have Word 2000?

I have downloded various components of a speech recognition engine from the
microsoft agent site and got it working so I could train the recognition
engine. I now want to use it in Word 2000 and can't get the language bar up.
I have tried following instructions in various Microsoft websites. When I get
to where you are in in Text services and input languages and ment to click on
the language button it's disabled.

Would someone please help me with this problem.
