when i wanted to compose a new mail and if the persons name started with say
the alphabet 'A' and i just pressed the letter 'A' i used to get a dropdown
with all the names starting with A to whome i have ever send a mail. However i
am not getting any such dropdown now when i have transfered the pst to my new
system .Could anyone please help me find out how could i get that drpdown

I don't believe that is something that can be transferred (or at least
not easily). It is something that Outlook remembers and then caches some
place. That feature will "re-load" itself in time as you send messages
to those addresses.
