how do i get the 'open or save' pop up when opening attachments?

I'd like to have the pop up when opening mailing attachments (excel, word,
powerpoint files) that says "open or save this document," but i accidentally
unchecked the box at the bottom that says "ask me everytime before i open."
how do i restore the default settings? i have already tried changing the
default security back to the default settings (under tool --> options -->
security), but it still hasn't changed anything.

I'm using office 2007 english version.
