That area on the right side of the screen is the Task Pane, a common
feature in all Office programs. To access the Task Pane, go to the View
Menu and select "Task Pane".

The specific Task Pane from which you can view stationery is called the
Stationery Task Pane. Once the Task Pane is open, click on the drop down
menu and select "Stationery". There should be a link called "Stationery on
Office Online" which will allow you to download additional stationery.

I'm not aware of any way to lock the Task Pane into place such that it
survives between sessions.

I get around it by using the KB shortcuts. Ctrl-F1 opens up the Task
Pane, and if you always want the Stationery TP, then Alt-O, T will do
that. Memorizing the various KB shortcuts will always help in any
program.
