I have the academic version of occice. Microsoft informs me that I need
upgrades bor security reasons but then I am told I need to insert the
professional version disk. How can I get around this problem?

Hi, Frustrated,

Look in the Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs applet to see what
Office applications Microsoft is seeing. Did you have a Professional
version of a previous version of Office that is still installed? Or, do you
have pieces of one, such as Publisher or FrontPage that are residual on your
drive?

Try inserting those CDs when prompted.

Thanks for your advice. I'm sure it would work if I had those programs.
Unfortunately, I don't. frustrated

Did you look in the Windows Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs applet to
see what it thinks is installled?
