How do I get word?

S

Sbirt

I currently have microsoft office 7.0 installed and I am running windows xp I have recently enrolled in some online courses and my tutor is unable to read the documents that I write using microsoft works, and needs them in microsoft word, can I change my format of works to save in word and If I can do this will my tutor be able to read them at the other end, if not do I buy the microsoft word and install it and does it have to be a certain one, I would be grateful for any advice.

You should be able to save your word processing files as Rich Text Format (.rtf), which Word can open.

I *think* you can save as Word DOC format from Works. I don't have
Works anymore to check for you, but perhaps you can check. See the
File/Save as menu. Additionally, your instructor *should* be able to
read a Works file in Word as it has that capability.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
